We would like to introduce a case study of a customer in the telecommunications infrastructure service sector, where we built a thin client-compatible infrastructure in the AWS environment. The servers and network equipment in their on-premises environment were aging, leading to increased maintenance and update costs, as well as challenges in handling failures and implementing security measures. Additionally, their backup system in case of disasters was insufficient, and they were required to address the risk of business interruption. Based on the premise of moving away from aging on-premises equipment, we constructed a new cloud infrastructure that allows thin clients to operate on AWS while considering a redundant configuration that enables business continuity even during disasters. We have also established a secure connection environment to ensure safe access from outside the company.
