[NMR Pipe Protector Verification Results] Teikoku Theatre Building

The red rust issue in the piping that occurred 21 years ago has been completely resolved! There has been no leakage, and the piping condition has been maintained in good shape.

The heat source equipment of the Imperial Theatre uses steam boilers and turbo chillers, and since the theatre dislikes noise, the heat source is installed six floors underground. Additionally, most of the piping is located within concrete, making pipe renewal work extremely difficult. To improve the current situation, where significant deterioration due to red rust in the piping has progressed after 34 years since its construction in 2000, the "NMR Pipe Protector" was installed to convert red rust into black rust and rehabilitate the piping. As of 2021, 21 years later, all issues related to red rust in the piping have been resolved, and there is almost no iron content from red rust in the circulating air conditioning chilled and hot water. We would like to introduce a case where Mr. Y, a resident of Edogawa Ward, Tokyo, implemented our lightning suppression system 'PDCE-junior' in a rental housing complex he owns. When retrofitting lightning protection equipment, an external down conductor is required; however, since it was incorporated from the design stage, structural grounding could be adopted. During the steel frame construction phase, the foundation rebar was connected to the steel columns, and on the rooftop, the lightning conductor and terminals were connected to the steel frame, followed by the pouring of concrete on the rooftop.
