The "Sky Method" is a construction technique that involves installing a high-performance heat insulation sheet that cuts approximately 97% of the "radiant heat from the sun," which cannot be completely prevented by insulation materials, onto a corrugated roof, resulting in a maximum indoor temperature reduction of 11°C. This is a construction case study. Originally, the Sky Sheet is used as a sky method installed on top of a corrugated roof, but in some cases, it is used differently, so we will introduce such an example. Building usage: Temporary toilet heat insulation at a construction site Construction site: Shizuoka Prefecture Product used: Thermo Barrier Sky Installation location: Two-unit temporary toilet Construction period: August 2022 Construction days: 0.5 days It was installed as a heat countermeasure for a temporary toilet at a site office with a construction period of about 8 months. Since it is a rental item, caulking was not used; instead, the overlapping parts were made larger to prevent water intrusion, and finished with glass cloth aluminum tape. In addition to heat countermeasures, we also expect benefits for winter temperatures.
