Subsequent bonded CFRP reinforcement material

It is a repair and reinforcement material for corroded steel structures.

**Overview** The "Adhesive Bonding CFRP Reinforcement" is a product designed to restore the load-bearing capacity of steel structures that have suffered cross-sectional loss due to corrosion damage. By bonding pre-formed CFRP reinforcement materials with adhesive at the factory, the on-site work process is significantly reduced, allowing for reinforcement without damaging the base material. With the lightweight and easy-to-install "Adhesive Bonding CFRP Reinforcement," it becomes possible to reinforce areas that were previously deemed unmanageable. **Features** - Made of CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic) Very lightweight and easy to handle Strong and free from concerns about corrosion - Adhesive bonding type Unlike traditional methods that require bolt connections or welding, reinforcement can be achieved without damaging the base material. Since the reinforcement material is simply bonded, significant reductions in construction time are possible. We have expertise and a track record in adhesive bonding with FRP manholes. - Workability No special skills are required, and manual installation is possible. Reinforcement can be achieved even in challenging sites with strict constraints on construction yards or space, such as narrow or high locations.

Seismic retrofitting of drainage pipe openings (small to medium diameter) - "Magma Rock Method mini・NGJ"

Non-excavation sewer pipelines (small to medium diameter, φ200 to φ700) seismic resistance technology. Equipped with cylindrical stainless steel and rubber sleeves to withstand Level 2 seismic motion.

This is a non-excavation seismic reinforcement method developed to enhance the seismic resistance of the "pipe connection section where existing pipes and manholes connect," targeting pipe diameters of Ø700 or less. In cases where the connection between the manhole and the pipe does not have a flexible structure, it is known that this connection section, being in a semi-rigid state, tends to concentrate damage such as circumferential cracks or breakage when subjected to significant loads during an earthquake. This method involves pre-cutting grooves (joints) at the connection between the main pipe and the manhole, installing a mini magma, and concentrating seismic stress here to induce cracking at the joint, thereby preventing damage to the connection through its shock absorption effect. The mini magma, which is pre-installed at the locations where cracks occur along the joint, prevents the inflow of groundwater and soil into the pipe. Additionally, this seismic reinforcement method can be reliably installed even when the existing pipe is in a flowing state, as long as the water depth is 25% or less of the nominal diameter, targeting the connection between the manhole and the pipe. [Applications] ● Seismic reinforcement of the connection between manholes and pipes (circular pipes)

The Innovative CFRP Repair and Reinforcement Method for Steel Structures - In-situ VaRTM Method

Forming 3D-shaped CFRP stiffeners on-site! (There is an example of steel girder web buckling countermeasures in Tokushima Prefecture)

The "In-situ VaRTM Method" is a innovative resin impregnation technique that utilizes vacuum technology, allowing for the production of high-quality CFRP reinforcement materials on-site, tailored to the shape of steel materials, through a new CF sheet bonding method. <Strengths of the Method> 1. Three-Dimensional Reinforcement Materials ● Three-dimensional reinforcement materials, similar to ribs, can be produced on-site, enabling integration with existing steel structures. This is something that was not possible with conventional CFRP reinforcement methods but can be achieved with the On-Site VaRTM Method. 2. Ultra-Short Construction Period and Cost Reduction ● Reinforcement for one location of steel corrosion can be completed in a standard of 3 to 4 days (a 70-80% reduction in construction time compared to conventional CF sheet bonding methods), allowing for efficient steel reinforcement. ● Due to the shortened construction period and increased efficiency, costs can be reduced by 20-30% compared to conventional CF sheet bonding methods. 3. Measures Against Poor Curing During Resin Curing ● During curing, uncured resin is covered with a film, preventing issues such as amine brushing that can lead to poor resin curing. 4. Others ● The On-Site VaRTM Method is a unique method developed by Toray. ● It received the Minister of Economy Award at the 6th Infrastructure Maintenance Awards. ● Approved as a new repair and reinforcement method by Japan Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

NFK panel method: New reinforcement material for concrete structures.

Tunnel lining reinforcement and concrete structure reinforcement! Reducing construction labor leads to shortened construction periods.

We would like to introduce our new concrete structure reinforcement material, the 'NFK Panel Method.' In the molding plate method, the fiber sheet does not adhere closely to the deteriorated surface, so high reinforcement effects cannot be expected. However, our method integrates the entire construction area, ensuring reliable and powerful reinforcement effects. Additionally, because we use non-combustible materials (flexible boards) on the surface, it excels in fire resistance, weather resistance, impact resistance, and flexibility, providing high durability. 【Features】 - By reducing construction labor, the construction period is shortened, resulting in lower regulatory costs and reduced maintenance expenses. - The panels are lightweight and have good workability, making them less susceptible to the conditions of substrate treatment, weather, and climate, which contributes to shortening the construction period. - The change to lightweight molded panels results in minimal cross-section reduction, excellent finishing, and improved safety. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.*

"Shiga Prefecture Ground Improvement" Ground Reinforcement Method 'Woody Force Method'

Applicable to sandy and clayey soil in Shiga Prefecture! This is an ecological and environmentally friendly method that utilizes small-diameter thinned wood as ground reinforcement material for housing!

The Woody Force method is a ground reinforcement technique aimed at small-scale buildings, utilizing unused thinned timber. This method uses thin-diameter thinned timber of "sugi" (Japanese cedar) or "hinoki" (Japanese cypress), which is somewhat too slender for use as house pillars and has been largely underutilized, as ground reinforcement material for houses, making it eco-friendly. By applying anti-corrosion and anti-termite treatment that complies with AQ certification (certification for quality wood building materials, etc.) B-3 (outdoor product components) to the wood used as ground reinforcement material, we aim to further enhance durability. 【Features】 ■ CO2 Reduction - Does not use cement or steel, which emit large amounts of CO2 during the manufacturing process - Contributes to energy conservation and reduction of greenhouse gases ■ Durability - By applying anti-corrosion and anti-termite treatment that complies with AQ certification B-3 to the wood used as ground reinforcement material, we aim to further enhance durability. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
