Powder Coating Troubleshooting: Poor Edge Coverage
Reconsidering the painting method! We also introduce measures related to the shape of the object being painted!
We will introduce troubleshooting for the phenomenon of "poor adhesion," which is characterized by low coating efficiency on the workpiece or a gradual decline in efficiency. If the cause is related to voltage or grounding issues, measures can be taken by checking the applied voltage, ensuring proper grounding of the workpiece, and removing accumulated insulating materials from the conveyor and hanger. Additionally, when using a recovery system, one reason for the issue may be that the particle size of the powder gradually decreases with each recovery, and there are countermeasures for this as well. [Causes and Countermeasures (Excerpt)] ■ Due to the shape of the workpiece → Reconsider the painting method for workpieces with complex shapes. ■ Due to issues with the paint itself → Consult with the manufacturer to consider improvements in the workability and charge characteristics of the paint. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
