[Proposal Example Unique to the Experienced Taisen Seiko] Washer with Protrusions
This is an example of a product that is not used as a standalone item, but is assembled with bolts and other components by our company.
We would like to introduce a case study unique to Tainishi Seiko, a manufacturer of architectural hardware, regarding the experience with "protruding washers." The manufacturer requested a design with protrusions and concave surfaces on both sides, which posed a high technical difficulty. Initially, we considered manufacturing using a press, but since it was not feasible, we explored using a part former. After prototyping, we were able to mass-produce using a 4-die, 4-blow process. Instead of using the parts individually, we assemble them with bolts and other components to create a finished product. [Case Overview] ■ Request - Design with protrusions and concave surfaces on both sides, posing high technical difficulty. ■ Proposal and Results - Initially considered manufacturing with a press, but since it was not feasible, we explored using a part former. - After prototyping, we were able to mass-produce using a 4-die, 4-blow process. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.
