"Super Sol" is a lightweight material recycled from glass bottles and other sources. It is an artificial pumice made by crushing and sintering waste glass into irregular granules with a particle size of 2 to 75 mm.
Utilizing its characteristics such as lightweight, permeability, water retention, non-combustibility, and thermal insulation, it is used in a wide range of applications including civil engineering, greening, agriculture, water purification, and insulation. In particular, the "Glass Foam Recycled Material - Super Sol" as a civil engineering material has a unit weight of about 4 kN/m3, which is approximately one-fifth that of conventional fill materials, making it very lightweight. When this lightweight fill material is used on soft ground, it allows for the construction of embankments without the need for foundation improvement, which can be economically advantageous.
