I was involved in the production of the perforated folded plate louvers installed in a gentle arc on the facade of the Tottori City Hall main building, including proposals for the design of the holes. The common areas feature perforated folded plates, while the office spaces and meeting rooms use louvered plates without holes, allowing for adjustments in direct sunlight control and privacy levels according to their intended use. Additionally, in terms of design, the perforated folded plates, painted to evoke the colors of the Tottori Sand Dunes, incorporate a hole pattern with three different hole diameters arranged randomly and four types of bending processes, creating varied expressions depending on the viewing angle.
