What is engineered wood?

Achieving high-strength performance! We will introduce the features of laminated wood and the manufacturing process.

"Glulam" refers to wood that has been processed from logs, with the boards being stacked parallel to each other in nearly the same fiber direction and then glued together. Natural solid wood, being a natural product, has knots and cores, has limitations in length, and can crack or deform if not allowed to rest for a considerable amount of time. By eliminating the drawbacks of this wood, we harness the natural warmth and gentleness of the wood grain, while adding precision and strength, scientifically pursuing the beauty of free processing such as bending. As a strong wood that creates new spaces, it is currently attracting significant attention. [Features] ■ Dried to a moisture content of 15% or less, reducing warping and shrinkage ■ Achieves strength performance far exceeding that of natural wood *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Presenting Materials!] We will teach you the technology of Fujitoshi Industry's "Large Cross-Section Laminated Timber."

Structural forms and spatial designs are free! The architect's sensibility and design can be realized as desired.

"Large Cross-Section Laminated Timber" is a type of laminated timber that can express large spaces while drawing free curves that are difficult to achieve with other materials. The natural colors and textures provide a calm, soothing, and warm space, creating a new sense of comfort and pleasant environment for people to gather, work, learn, play, and live. 【Features】 ■ Minimal distortion after manufacturing, with stable cross-sectional dimensions ■ Reduced cracking, warping, bending, and twisting ■ Ability to freely create cross-sectional dimensions and shapes / long materials, variable cross-sections, and curved materials ■ Even in the event of a fire, the surface carbonizes while the majority remains in a sound condition, supporting the design load *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

【Technical materials being presented!】Regarding the relationship between wood and the environment.

We will introduce the relationship of wood with the environment and its related issues.

In recent years, Japan's forest area has not changed much over the past 40 years, but the area of artificial forests has increased by about twice. This is said to be due to the planting of fast-growing species such as cedar and cypress, aimed at utilizing them as construction timber and conserving the national land and nurturing water sources. This catalog introduces the relationship of such timber with the environment. [Contents] (Excerpt) ■ Changes in Japan's forest area and volume over the past 40 years ■ Decrease in wood demand and increase in artificial forest volume ■ Age structure of artificial forests ■ What is carbon neutrality ● For more details, please contact us or download the PDF materials to view.
