"Kurakutaito" is a molded expansion joint material used to prevent cracking due to the shrinkage of protective concrete. The cap section is made of polyethylene reinforced with glass fibers, providing excellent dimensional stability. The non-vulcanized butyl rubber adhesion layer on the side of the cap section has excellent adhesion to the concrete below, preventing water intrusion and the growth of weeds and other vegetation. The material used to prevent cracking due to the shrinkage of protective concrete is molded expansion joint material. The "Cracktight" series from Archiyamade was born in 1967 as the first plastic molded expansion joint material in Japan. The main body of the joint uses polyethylene foam, which has excellent recovery power and can sufficiently absorb the movements caused by the expansion and contraction of the protective concrete layer.
