"Gas Soft Nitriding Treatment by the Unizoff Method" *Case Studies of Heat Treatment Now Available!*
Improved corrosion resistance and wear resistance! "Gas soft nitriding treatment" using the Unizoff method.
Gas soft nitriding treatment is a heat treatment that forms carbonitrides on the surface by allowing nitrogen and carbon to diffuse into it while maintaining a temperature range of 550 to 600°C in a mixed atmosphere of carburizing gas and NH3 (ammonia). The Unizoff method generates this mixed atmosphere using the thermal decomposition gas of urea, creating a consistently stable environment. Compared to salt bath heat treatment, it does not use cyanates, making it an environmentally friendly heat treatment method that contributes to pollution prevention. You can choose a set method that suits the product, such as direct placement on jigs, hanging, or alignment. Additionally, gas soft nitriding treatment using ammonia gas is also available upon request. **Features** - Strong improvement in wear resistance and corrosion resistance - Effective for products with strict dimensional accuracy by minimizing distortion - Adopts a retort outer cooling method to reduce the load on the product - Minimal nitriding unevenness, resulting in a beautiful (silver-gray) finish - Capable of handling sizes up to Φ600mm × 1000mm
