From the design stage, we have incorporated acoustic innovations to create a high-precision editing environment capable of reproducing Dolby Atmos-compatible spatial sound.
We would like to introduce the design and construction of a music editing studio compatible with Dolby Atmos for a game production company that we undertook.
■ Construction Location: Tokyo, Japan
■ Construction Details: Design and construction of a Dolby Atmos-compatible music editing studio
At the request of a game production company, we designed and constructed a music editing studio compatible with Dolby Atmos. Due to layout constraints, the floor plan was square, which posed acoustic challenges; however, we prioritized the immersive experience and three-dimensional sound representation required for games, pursuing high precision in the acoustic environment. From the design stage, we implemented meticulous measures throughout, resulting in a studio capable of clearly reproducing sound localization and depth.
■ Customer Feedback: The exterior floor plan of the editing studio was square, which presented acoustically disadvantageous conditions. As a result, there were concerns about standing waves and sound localization, and we were worried about whether we could effectively reproduce Dolby Atmos-compatible spatial audio. However, the acoustic ingenuity applied from the design stage led to the realization of a high-precision editing environment compatible with Dolby Atmos. Sound localization and depth are well expressed, allowing for the seamless production of immersive sound sources.
