The Drystar FR936 is a lead-free bearing that can be used without lubrication. Its excellent self-lubricating properties eliminate the need for pre-lubrication or oil splash lubrication. It is a bearing that has improved self-lubrication and wear resistance by adding a mixture of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), which has a low friction coefficient among all materials, and special fillers. The amount of wear after the bearing has settled is influenced by the load on the bearing and the speed of the shaft. The bearing wear increases almost proportionally to the product of the surface pressure P (MPa) on the bearing and the speed V (m/min) of the shaft. The FR936 offers performance that is equal to or better than conventional leaded, oil-free bearings even at high PV values, allowing for long-term use with confidence.
