Subsidies for the installation of emergency power supplies in condominiums in Tokyo have begun, contributing to the strengthening of disaster prevention capabilities with storage batteries.
We are providing subsidies for the installation of emergency power supplies and equipment to protect power sources from flooding, targeting management associations of registered condominiums in "Stay in Tokyo" and owners of rental apartments (excluding newly built condominiums). Emergency power supply equipment capable of supplying three-phase power is eligible. ■ Subsidy Rate - Storage Battery: 3/4 - Generator: 1/2 ■ Maximum Amount - For storage batteries: 188,000 yen per 1kWh or 13.16 million yen, whichever is smaller - For generators: 15 million yen ■ Eligible Equipment Either a storage battery system or a generator system that has the power supply capacity to simultaneously or alternately operate water supply and at least one elevator during a power outage. ■ Application Period From August 30, 2024 (Friday) to January 15, 2025 (Wednesday) * Applications will close once the budget amount is reached. * For details, please refer to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government website. ■ Industrial Storage Batteries Capable of Backing Up Three-Phase Power Equipment The industrial storage system LUVIS from Connex Systems can back up three-phase loads as part of condominium BCP measures. It can be used for power equipment such as water supply pumps with a three-phase three-wire output of 30kW.
