The Ultrasonic System Research Institute is applying and developing manufacturing technology for original ultrasonic probes. We have developed technology to optimize the nonlinear vibration phenomenon of surface acoustic waves through oscillation control technology based on the acoustic characteristics of the probes, and we provide consulting services for various ultrasonic utilization technologies. Note 1: Original nonlinear resonance phenomenon The resonance phenomenon of ultrasonic vibrations occurs due to the generation of harmonics resulting from original oscillation control of ultrasonic waves, which achieves high amplitude through resonance. The key point is the optimization of the ultrasonic propagation section. Note 2: By relaxing and homogenizing surface residual stress, stable ultrasonic oscillation control becomes possible. Nakaiyo Co., Ltd. has been involved in the manufacturing of communication equipment since its establishment in 1944. In recent years, leveraging its unique communication technology, the company has developed a service called "Factory NYC (Nice)" that enables remote monitoring of manufacturing sites by connecting manufacturing equipment and sensors with IoT devices. At the Maebashi factory, products were previously manufactured using a line production system, but it was switched to a cell production system to accommodate a variety of products in small lots. In the line production system, where products were transported on a straight conveyor belt, the movement of workers was fixed. In contrast, the cell production system allows a small number of workers to move around and perform tasks in U-shaped or L-shaped layouts. To improve productivity at the Maebashi factory, "Mizusumashi" personnel are assigned to supply parts, change setups, and respond to initial line troubles within each cell. "Mizusumashi" is named after an insect that quickly darts across the water, reflecting the movement between the parts warehouse and production cells. To understand how this "Mizusumashi" operates and to implement business improvements, the company introduced "Jobtan."
