The chute switch is a device designed to issue an alarm signal and emergency stop the belt conveyor when the chute of a belt conveyor or the chute of a tripper is blocked by transported materials. It is mounted on the side wall of the chute and operates by moving a detection plate due to the side pressure from accumulated materials such as ore. The detection plate is installed using dust-proof bearings, allowing it to move smoothly even if dust adheres to it. To prevent issues caused by condensation, a proximity switch type is also available as an option. The detection operating force can be adjusted from 9.8 N to 14.7 N at the tip of the detection plate. Therefore, the chute switch can be used across a wide range of belt conveyor lines, from small powders to bulk materials.
