Applications/Examples of results
■How is hardness measured? By dividing the applied load by the unit area, stress can be measured. This stress serves as an indicator of the hardness of the material being tested. The unit is Pa (Pascal) [N/m²]. Measurement can be done by attaching a pressing jig to a digital force gauge and pressing the object. Of course, the force gauge incorporates a dedicated function for measuring stress.
