While we understood the factors contributing to inventory increase, it was difficult to resolve the issue with traditional methods. This was because we could not grasp the status of the inventory ordered by sales, and even when we raised concerns, it was ineffective. Therefore, we tackled inventory reduction using IC-MANAGER's unique inventory management approach. One measure was to clarify the responsibilities for ordered items. Another was to manage the fractional quantities of ordered items in separate categories. This clarified the responsibility for returns, reduced the chances of missing return processing, and helped decrease return losses and dead stock of fractional ordered items. Additionally, we implemented order point management through product analysis, which allowed us to efficiently optimize a vast amount of regular inventory. As a result, we achieved an inventory reduction of approximately 30 million yen in two years, and we were able to quickly recover the system investment costs, leading to high satisfaction.
