After the processing steps involving barrel polishing and water-soluble cutting oils, water drainage is generally performed using alcohols such as methanol, IPA, and ethanol. However, due to the difficulty of separating alcohol and water after drainage, the mixture has been disposed of as is. As a result, the amount of alcohol used is high, leading to increased running costs. The "Water Drying System" allows for drainage without using methanol, IPA, or ethanol. Additionally, since it is possible to separate water from the drainage liquid after drying, the drainage liquid can be reused, minimizing running costs.

A method for separating moisture from an object to be cleaned, characterized by performing aqueous cleaning on the object to be cleaned, which has moisture adhered to its surface, and then immersing it in a high-boiling liquid with a boiling point above that of water, while heating this high-boiling liquid to a temperature above the boiling point of water and below the boiling point of the high-boiling liquid, thereby causing the moisture adhered to the object to be cleaned to evaporate through boiling.
