Wastewater treatment device AT-BC device (special mesh rotary biological contact device)
AT-BC device
A wastewater treatment system that can significantly reduce power consumption. It can enhance capacity at minimal cost while utilizing existing equipment...
**Device Overview** The core of the AT-BC system, the AT-BC device, was developed from an improved rotating body of the rotating disc type, which is a form of activated sludge. The rotating body, which serves as the heart of the rotating disc, had a structural flaw where the metal parts would corrode rapidly when immersed in wastewater for extended periods. Additionally, it had the drawback of microorganisms adhering to the rotating body detaching all at once, leading to a decrease in treatment capacity. To address these shortcomings of the rotating body, the AT-BC device was developed. The rotating body of the AT-BC device is made from a three-dimensional mesh structure processed from vinylidene chloride fibers, the same material used in Asahi Kasei's Saran Wrap. By doing so, it successfully eliminated the metal parts that cause corrosion from the rotating body. Furthermore, the three-dimensional mesh structure allows microorganisms to adhere within it, preventing the simultaneous detachment of microorganisms.

basic information
**Product Description** The AT-BC device rotates several gourd-shaped contact bodies with a thickness of 50mm and a diameter of 2000mm to come into contact with wastewater, allowing the microorganisms that adhere to them to remove 60-70% of BOD and other substances. By installing it in the front section of the aeration tank, it significantly reduces the BOD load, resulting in a smaller aeration tank in the rear section. Furthermore, since less air is required for the aeration tank, electricity costs can also be greatly reduced. The surplus sludge generated is also less than half compared to conventional methods. It is ideal not only for new installations but also for expansions and modifications; simply adding the AT-BC device in front of the aeration tank can more than double the capacity of the aeration tank, and there is no need to expand the blowers for the aeration tank. It can be placed on top of existing tanks, so no new space is required. Additionally, it allows for easy capacity upgrades without stopping existing equipment.

Bachir Techno Corporation, a company that cleans the Earth's water, aims to transform various types of wastewater, which are the causes of pollution, into clean water like a clear stream. The company possesses a spirit of challenge and passion for this goal. By utilizing our technology to reduce electricity costs and surplus sludge, which is industrial waste, we aim to decrease CO2 emissions and contribute to the achievement of the SDGs. Additionally, in public works, we are conducting demonstration experiments at a sewage treatment plant in Tochigi Prefecture through joint research with the Sewerage Business Corporation and Toshiba. We are also working on the introduction of our technology to approximately 88 public sewage treatment plants in China and have been selected for JICA's dissemination demonstration project, which is advancing the construction of a pilot facility for sewage treatment in India. We aspire to become a global company that can significantly contribute to the international community in the future.
