In recent years, there have been several trends among new employees, such as the following: [Example: Automotive Sales Industry] Although there is a demand for providing solutions for car life, there are now people who do not particularly like cars. While there is a desire for growth, there is an increasing number of people who are reluctant to take on positions of responsibility. More people are beginning to think that a moderate salary is sufficient. So, what kind of approach should we take for talent development? It is important to make individuals aware of their own "strengths" and motivate them to utilize these strengths in the workplace. To enable them to demonstrate their abilities early on, it is more effective to leverage their "strengths" rather than to focus on overcoming their "weaknesses." ★Method to Clearly Recognize "Strengths"★ In a one-on-one setting, conduct interviews where the roles of the listener and speaker are divided, discussing successful experiences from their lives for about 15 minutes each. This will clarify the "strengths" they are aware of and those they may not have recognized. Then, encourage them to think about how to apply those "strengths" in the workplace.
