We would like to introduce a case study on the introduction of underwater drones in offshore wind power generation facilities. To operate offshore wind power generation facilities safely and efficiently, inspections and patrols by technicians are necessary. However, in offshore wind power facilities far from land, the risks and costs associated with underwater inspections have been challenges. By utilizing underwater drones for maintenance inspections, it becomes possible to improve operational efficiency while maintaining safety even in the harsh working environment of offshore locations.
