**Lecture Overview** The internal new business proposal system "Gattsuri Hiroba" born out of the management crisis during the COVID-19 pandemic. In the midst of the pandemic, where movement was restricted, a major management directive was issued to think of ways to generate revenue even without flying planes! This led to the establishment of a new business proposal system. Although it started without a budget, once the call for proposals was made, suggestions from employees began to pour in, resulting in nearly 10 projects being realized each year. The majority of the proposing employees are frontline staff who have no prior connection to new business initiatives, and most of them are writing proposals for the first time, yet new businesses are realized every year. Proposers engage in their primary duties while working within a 20% reduction in operational workload.
