The seismic isolation floor system "FI-NR". It is a sliding friction type seismic isolation floor system that protects computers from earthquake vibrations.

**Mechanism of Seismic Isolation Floor** When a horizontal force greater than friction is applied due to an earthquake, sliding occurs between the bearing section and the sliding panel. This reduces the floor response and velocity, while the sliding friction dissipates the seismic energy. The bearing section returns to the vicinity of the center of the sliding panel due to the action of the coil spring. There are two installation methods for the restoring mechanism, which is the coil spring: the "coil spring beam lower placement method" and the "coil spring peripheral placement method," which are selected based on design conditions such as the size and shape of the seismic isolation floor. ● Sliding Friction Method The sliding friction method, which has a simple structure and no complex mechanisms, is adopted. Additionally, since the sliding surface is oriented downward, there is no accumulation of dirt or dust, making maintenance easy. ● Wide Wiring Space The seismic isolation device is ultra-thin, approximately 70mm or 110mm above the slab surface. This allows for more wiring space and air conditioning space. ● Whisker-Free Whiskers are conductive crystalline structures that can form from electro-galvanized components and are said to adversely affect computers. The seismic isolation floor system does not use electro-galvanized components that generate whiskers.
