Is it dangerous to use second-hand devices for corporate smartphones? Important points to know when implementing.
We will also introduce measures to take if you end up purchasing a device with issues.
Recently, smartphone prices have been steadily rising. More companies are considering purchasing used devices to keep costs down when introducing smartphones for business use. However, there are important considerations when buying used devices. One of these is the "condition of the device" (which indicates the state directly related to the use of the device, such as whether it can connect to networks or if it is locked), which is not apparent to the buyer. If not properly understood, this can lead to serious troubles, including information leaks. Recently, there has been an increase in cases where devices are purchased through individual sales platforms like Mercari, Yahoo Auctions, and flea market apps, but this poses a very high risk for corporate use, so caution is necessary. This article will provide a detailed explanation of the risks and precautions associated with purchasing used devices. *For more detailed information, please refer to the related links.
