【Lecture Overview】 Currently, "Water PPP" is gaining attention as a new framework for public-private partnerships in the water and sewage sector. In response to challenges such as aging infrastructure, rising renewal costs, and a shortage of personnel, the government has clearly positioned the introduction of Water PPP in its PPP/PFI promotion action plan and is encouraging municipalities nationwide to consider it. In this context, even the small municipality of Hayama Town is advancing specific discussions, including open proposals, towards the introduction of Water PPP to manage the maintenance and renewal of sewer pipeline facilities in an integrated manner.
