The latest collection of paper mulberry (kozo) washi wallpaper has arrived.
The KOZO collection started in 1988 with the desire to introduce Japan's proud washi paper as wallpaper to people, and to pass down the culture, tradition, and beauty of Japanese washi to future generations. Among wallpapers, using kozo (paper mulberry) that can be harvested in winter before it sheds its leaves each year is environmentally friendly, and the washi wallpaper, which becomes more beautiful with age, is one of the very important options in today's world where the necessity for a sustainable circular society is being questioned globally. The sixth piece, "KOZO 6," aims to discover and communicate the new charm of washi, returning to the origins to pursue the potential of the material itself. "Kasumi" (Mist) The mist seen in early spring softly envelops distant landscapes, making them appear dreamlike. The soft boundaries of that scenery are expressed by skilled hands using hand brushes, and the intricately overlapping colors create a fantastical space.
