Maximizing the features of the non-growing centipede grass, the Ijigen sheet reduces the frequency of mowing and enhances the landscape.
The existing planting (azaleas) had become overgrown with weeds, resulting in a deterioration of the landscape. As we planned to enhance the landscape with new parking lot development, we opted for an easy-to-maintain geotextile sheet instead of turf. At the adjacent area, we installed a vegetation sheet at the same time. After one year and six months, the difference between the geotextile sheet, which maximizes the characteristics of the non-growing centipede grass, is clearly evident. [Case Overview] ■ Construction Location: Aichi Prefecture ■ Construction Date: March 2024 Japan Vegetation aims to closely support each project, whether it involves rockfall measures from embankments, vegetation mats/sheets, riverbank protection, parks/green spaces, etc. Furthermore, recognizing biodiversity and green infrastructure as important social issues, we are advancing into the future by combining traditional greening techniques with new challenges under the motto "Enhancing the Value of Greenery." Company information
Since our founding, we have taken on the mission of "creating a green country" and have contributed to national greening, land conservation, and the creation of a rich natural environment through our greening projects. Even in the 21st century, often referred to as the era of the environment, we strive to be an "environmental creation company" that applies the technologies we have cultivated in greening to the improvement of the environment for the Earth and its people, engaging in creativity (planning, research, and development). In 2024, we recognize biodiversity conservation, a pressing social issue, as a new mission we must undertake, with our participation in the 30by30 Alliance and the certification of our research fields as "natural coexistence sites." Moving forward, we will actively address various social issues, starting with biodiversity conservation, in pursuit of a sustainable society. We aim to be a lasting company that meets the needs of local communities, promoting the greening of parking lots to mitigate the heat island effect, as well as greening watersheds, riverbanks, coastlines, and parks to propose a lush living environment.
