In the manufacturing industry, even indoors, the radiant heat from machinery and the high-temperature environment at work sites increase the risk of heat stroke. The transportation industry is also at high risk due to loading operations in the blazing sun and warehouse work. When the metabolic rate (workload) is high in high-temperature and high-humidity environments, the risk of heat stroke increases.
