[Construction Example] Apartment Piano and Guitar Soundproofing

A space where you can play music in an apartment! Soundproofing performance of 45dB beyond the soundproof wall.

This is an introduction to a case study of a renovation project that involved transforming a condominium from a skeleton state, where we collaborated with a local design firm to confirm detailed specifications through meetings and drawings, while also conducting soundproofing work. The electrical and finishing work was carried out by the renovation contractor, and the soundproof door was specified in terms of paint color by the design firm, with a baked finish applied to a KOTOBUKI soundproof door. During the acoustic adjustment, the resonance of the customer's piano and the sound produced by the room created an indescribably pleasant atmosphere, making it a soundproof room where one would want to play continuously. The soundproof door achieved a sound insulation performance of 30dB in front of it with a piano and guitar (electric and acoustic), while the sound insulation performance beyond the soundproof wall was 45dB.
