Currently, the airport is undergoing a significant expansion covering 1,000 hectares, with plans for a one-terminal system and the development of a new cargo base. The opening of the Ken-O Expressway as a regional transportation infrastructure, along with the planned operation of three nearby interchanges, is expected to enhance its potential dramatically.
