A water-stopping door that achieves the same operability and low cost as a standard steel door.
In normal times, it can be opened and closed like a typical steel door, and only in emergencies where there is a risk of flooding, it can be easily operated by simply pulling up the "water stop gremlin" horizontally to provide flood protection. It can be operated from either the inside or outside of the door, ensuring a tight seal against the frame to minimize water leakage into the interior. Even in the event of flooding up to 3 meters deep, the amount of leakage into the interior is maintained at approximately 20 liters per (h·square meter) or less, demonstrating high flood protection performance. Compared to heavy and individually designed watertight doors, "Aquaed" is lightweight and standardized in design, significantly reducing costs and allowing for budget-friendly flood protection measures for buildings compared to watertight doors.
