basic information
**Lecture Overview** Among water infrastructure, particularly in water supply and sewage facilities, there is a high consumption of electricity. To achieve carbon neutrality, it is essential to implement thorough energy-saving measures and to significantly introduce renewable energy. In recent years, the methods for introducing solar power have diversified, and the public sector has been advancing the adoption of solar power generation through mechanisms such as Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs). It is important to utilize these methods to further promote decarbonization efforts in water supply and sewage facilities. Additionally, as solar power generation continues to spread in society, it is necessary to devise more efficient operational management of water supply and sewage facilities. This lecture will provide a detailed explanation of the support measures from the Ministry of the Environment and future policy directions based on these circumstances. **Lecture Topics** - Government plans for carbon neutrality in water supply and sewage businesses - Patterns of solar power generation equipment introduction - Subsidy systems related to solar power generation - Future prospects for solar power adoption in water supply and sewage businesses - Other case studies leading to decarbonization - Related Q&A - Business card and information exchange session
