[Mirror Introduction Case] Preventing Upskirt Photography on Escalators with Mirrors!
FF Mirror Corridor
Since the installation of the FF mirror, there have been no reports of voyeurism or similar incidents (Saitama Rapid Transit).
We would like to introduce the voice of Saitama Rapid Railway, which has implemented FF mirror corridors as a measure to prevent voyeurism on escalators. Currently, FF mirrors have been installed on the escalators at Urawa Misato Station, Higashi Kawaguchi Station, and Hatogaya Station. Unlike regular mirrors, FF mirrors provide a wide view of the rear, which I find to be excellent. Before the installation, there were several incidents at Higashi Kawaguchi Station, but since the FF mirrors were installed, there have been no reports of voyeurism incidents. I believe that customers using the station are not only avoiding voyeurism but also taking precautions against violence and other dangers, as it can be observed that both men and women occasionally glance at the mirror and maintain distance from people behind them. When it comes to mirrors, most people probably think of mirrors that reflect only themselves (such as full-length mirrors, hand mirrors, or three-way mirrors). However, Komi's mirror is designed to observe the movements of other objects and people, and to show "consideration" for others. For example, it can be used to check with a mirror if there is anyone coming around a corner to avoid a collision, or to see if there is someone trying to get into an elevator and wait for them. Komi's "considerate mirror" is useful worldwide, from convenience stores to airplanes.
