**Lecture Overview** In recent years, as the manufacturing costs of various products have increased, there has been a growing interest in improving the productivity of manufacturing processes within corporate activities. Additionally, as artificial intelligence evolves and becomes more widespread, quality control utilizing artificial intelligence has developed, and there is a trend of increasing related patent applications. Furthermore, there is a tendency for manufacturing contract companies (EMS/CDMO) that specialize in the manufacturing processes of products to become more prevalent. To leverage such manufacturing technologies in business activities, the establishment of a patent strategy is essential. In other words, it is crucial to understand the trends in patent applications, determine what patents to acquire, and how to utilize them effectively. Particularly, by obtaining and utilizing broad and strong patents, manufacturing technologies can be maximally leveraged in business activities.
