basic information
**Lecture Overview** Yokohama City, home to Yokohama Port, which represents our country, aims to achieve carbon neutrality in ports by 2050. This involves forming a "Carbon Neutral Port (CNP)" that focuses on decarbonization through the promotion of energy conversion for shipping and coastal industries using next-generation energy sources (such as hydrogen, methanol, ammonia, and synthetic methane), enhancing port functions with consideration for decarbonization, and accumulating coastal industries to reduce overall greenhouse gas emissions to zero. It has been about two years since my last presentation on March 28, 2023, and during this time, I will provide a detailed explanation of the changes surrounding Yokohama City and Yokohama Port, as well as the contents of the "Yokohama Port Decarbonization Promotion Plan," which is scheduled to be announced in late March 2025. **Lecture Items** ■ About the Yokohama Port Decarbonization Promotion Plan ■ Initiatives considered as pillars of this plan ■ Future initiatives ■ Related Q&A ■ Business card and information exchange session
