[Lecture Overview] The Kyushu Electric Power Group aims to achieve a sustainable society by promoting the "Carbon Neutral Vision 2050," targeting a net-zero CO2 emissions by 2050, and advancing initiatives from both the supply and demand sides. Within this framework, the Civil Engineering and Architecture Department provides technical services across various businesses, including natural disaster risk assessment, facility formation based on these assessments, and maintenance and management of facilities, contributing to the realization of carbon neutrality. In recent years, the department has also leveraged the technologies and know-how gained from previous projects to challenge new businesses and address social issues.
