Strategy for Facility Development to Survive Harsh Times - Analysis of Hospital Construction Cost Trends: Disaster Response, Infection Control, Private Room Wards, and the Future of Hospital Development.

Our company will hold a business seminar. In light of the challenges surrounding hospitals, such as functional differentiation and staff shortages in preparation for the 2040 issue, as well as disasters and global warming, the recent surge in construction costs has had a serious impact on facility development. Reflecting on nearly 40 years of experience in hospital design, we must ask ourselves what can be done now in response to the clearly different trends we are facing. This is the theme of this seminar. First, it is important to analyze the trends in construction costs since the COVID-19 pandemic and predict future developments. Next, we will discuss the necessary conditions for starting construction. To enhance the willingness of contractors to participate, we conducted a survey among construction companies and equipment subcontractors.
