Early on, construction methods using expanded polystyrene were researched in civil engineering, and its lightweight and durability have garnered attention. Our approach with Decoform aims to apply expanded polystyrene in combination with other materials for interior and exterior finishing materials of general buildings and three-dimensional sculptures. Its significant features include a high degree of design freedom through 3D CAD/CAM, ease of construction, and excellent cost performance. Decoform allows for the creation of what was previously difficult to achieve due to budgetary and production constraints, making it relatively easy to produce. The remarkable nature of this can be clearly seen by looking at the actual construction results in various locations. However, Decoform is still a relatively new technology that is in the process of growth. Therefore, it also holds great potential as a technology.
