[Seminar] System Development and Remaining Issues for the Realization of Autonomous Driving

Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism - Promoting Social Implementation: Ensuring Safety, Social Acceptance, and Business Viability.

Our company will hold a seminar titled "Establishing a System for the Realization of Autonomous Driving and Remaining Challenges." Autonomous driving is expected to play a significant role in solving various social issues faced by our country, such as reducing traffic accidents, maintaining and improving public transportation, and addressing the shortage of drivers. In May of last year, Japan's first level 4 autonomous driving mobility service without a driver was launched in Eiheiji Town, Fukui Prefecture. While demonstrations of autonomous driving are being conducted in various locations, challenges such as (1) ensuring safety, (2) gaining understanding from local residents, and (3) securing business viability have also become apparent.
