Our company will hold a seminar on "The 2024 Logistics Problem and Specific Measures for Logistics Innovation." Logistics is a social infrastructure that supports the economy and people's lives, but truck drivers, who play a key role, face long working hours, low incomes, and a significant labor shortage. Amidst this situation, regulations on overtime work for drivers will be introduced starting this April, raising concerns about further stagnation in logistics due to labor shortages. Estimates suggest a 14% shortage this fiscal year and a 34% shortage by 2030. In response to this "2024 Logistics Problem," the government compiled a "Policy Package for Logistics Innovation" last June, and is working comprehensively and inclusively, with the cooperation of the industry and the public, to review business practices, improve logistics efficiency, and encourage behavioral changes among shippers and consumers. This seminar will provide detailed explanations of the 2024 Logistics Problem and the government's initiatives.
