We will hold a seminar titled "Trends in Chemical Recycling of Waste Plastics and Business Outlook." Recycling of waste plastics has begun globally. However, plastic recycling in Japan is still extremely limited. In Europe, the use of waste plastics has been mandated. Material recycling can also be achieved through chemical methods. For mixed plastics and composite plastics, which are difficult to recycle materially, liquefying them for chemical recycling as naphtha feedstock is the most practical approach. This has already begun to be implemented worldwide. Furthermore, waste plastics mixed with municipal waste can also be gasified and recycled into plastics.
