[Seminar] Shunan City, Yamaguchi Prefecture: Utilization of Energy Leveraging Regional Characteristics

<Tokyo Event> Initiatives for Decarbonization of the Shunan Complex: Hydrogen, Ammonia, Wood Biomass

Our company will hold a seminar titled "Shunan City, Yamaguchi Prefecture: Utilizing Energy Based on Regional Characteristics." In Shunan City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, we are working on the utilization of hydrogen and woody biomass by leveraging the regional characteristics, such as the large-scale and high-purity hydrogen production at the Shunan Industrial Complex and the fact that about 80% of the area is covered by forests. Additionally, the Shunan Industrial Complex Decarbonization Promotion Council, established in 2022, is promoting the maintenance and strengthening of the industrial competitiveness of the Shunan Industrial Complex and decarbonization through collaboration among industry, academia, government, and the private sector. Currently, we are advancing discussions aimed at achieving a carbon-neutral industrial complex, starting with the utilization of ammonia.
