Explanation of the Complex Urban Redevelopment Law and Considerations for the Use of SPC
Our company will hold a seminar on "Practical Aspects of Urban Redevelopment Projects." In recent years, many urban redevelopment projects based on the Urban Redevelopment Act have been planned and implemented, particularly in urban areas such as Tokyo. Promoting urban redevelopment projects requires a very complex process compared to the usual building reconstruction, including gathering consensus among neighboring landowners and obtaining approvals from the government, which can take a long time to complete. However, by implementing these projects as public works, large-scale redevelopment, including relaxation of floor area ratios, becomes feasible. Additionally, with the increase in urban redevelopment, there are also more cases considering the use of Special Purpose Companies (SPCs), but there are several legal considerations when utilizing SPCs. This seminar will provide an overview of the complex Urban Redevelopment Act and will also detail practical points to consider when using SPCs. [Seminar Details] ■ Date and Time: August 9 (Friday) 13:30 - 15:30 (Doors open at 13:00) ■ Venue: JPI Conference Square ■ Speaker: Fuyuki Uchitsu, Partner and Attorney at Mori Hamada & Matsumoto Law Firm *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
