We will hold a seminar on "The Offshore Wind Power Generation Project in Noshiro City, Akita Prefecture and Its Ripple Effects on the Local Economy." Noshiro City, located in the northwestern part of Akita Prefecture along the northern coast of the Sea of Japan, is blessed with rich nature, including the black pine forest "Kaze no Matsubara." Noshiro has long been known for its strong winds, particularly suffering from the strong seasonal winds from the northwest during winter. This negative legacy of wind has turned into a tailwind with the expansion of wind power generation. As a frontrunner in the field of wind power generation, we will detail Noshiro City's initiatives.
