Our company will hold a seminar on "The System Impact and Countermeasures of Increased Charging Due to the Spread of Electric Vehicles (EVs)." Currently, efforts are being made to promote the introduction of electric vehicles (EVs) in order to achieve carbon neutrality (CN) by 2050. However, one of the concerns regarding the widespread adoption of EVs is the question, "If EVs become widely adopted, will there be a significant peak load that the system cannot handle?" There are many estimates of peak loads caused by EV charging, but the results can vary significantly depending on the conditions under which the estimates were made. In this presentation, we will clarify the factors that influence the peak and those that do not, highlighting key points to consider when reviewing estimation results. Additionally, if we can identify the main factors that affect the peak, it will also be possible to suppress the peak, so we will provide a detailed explanation of peak suppression measures.
