Japan Agricultural Corporation: Case Study on the Introduction of Automated Transport Equipment (AGV)
Introducing an automatic transport device (AGV) for transporting foam boards! Mechanizing simple tasks to improve productivity.
We would like to introduce a case study of our "Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV)" implemented at Nippon Nōen Co., Ltd. Previously, staff were transporting foam boards using a cart, which weighed nearly 100 kg, making it a labor-intensive task. We aimed to improve operational efficiency through mechanization. After implementation, we were able to reduce manual transportation tasks by automatically transporting an average of 1,200 foam boards per day, which has helped address the issue of labor shortages. [Case Overview] ■Challenges - Labor shortages in the factory - Staff transporting foam boards to a location 100 meters away using a cart - The cart's weight was nearly 100 kg, making transportation labor-intensive ■Effects After Implementation - Automatic transportation of an average of 1,200 foam boards per day - Manual labor can be redirected to other tasks, improving productivity *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
