This is a compact and lightweight rack-type jack (linear actuator) equipped with our company's self-locking mechanism (Shoji-Lock). It holds the load at the stopped position while raising and lowering the workpiece. Furthermore, it can be restarted from any position without releasing the brake, whether in the upward or downward direction. Additionally, its lightweight and compact design allows for space-saving, making it widely adopted and well-received in various fields. Unlike traditional screw jacks, the rack type offers overwhelmingly faster ascent and descent speeds, characterized by its high efficiency and ease of operation. In addition to the manual-only (SLM series) models, there are also electric models (SLE series) that can be driven by power tool drill drivers. The surface comes standard with a black Teflon coating that is resistant to rust. It can be widely used for disaster preparedness, energy-saving measures, and defense/military applications. It is also suitable for universities, research institutes, and testing facilities. As shown in the photos and videos, when mounted on a lab jack or table lifter, it can hold its position while loaded, and by turning the handle again, it can resume lifting and lowering without any motion. It is compatible with commercially available round rack rods (manufactured by KHK). (Rack rods are not included.)

This is a round number linear jack. In the case of SLM-050-4.0, it raises and lowers exactly 4mm per rotation. In the case of SLM-200-3.0, it raises and lowers exactly 3mm per rotation. Due to its compact size, it can be installed in tight spaces. It has many applications, such as simple lifting in places without power.

Two rack synchronization is also possible. By connecting with a connecting pipe as shown in the image, the rack rods can rise and fall simultaneously when the handle is turned. It can be designed quite compactly.

Company information
The load-holding function equipped reduction mechanism (shoji-lock) has been developing applied products such as winches and rack jacks since the early 2000s. Steady sales activities have borne fruit, and it has begun to be adopted for various applications. Unlike conventional worm reduction gears with self-locking functions where the input and output shafts are orthogonal, this mechanism has them aligned in a straight line (inline), allowing for a compact design and space-saving, which has received high praise, resulting in a diverse range of practical examples. (Patents have been obtained in Japan, the United States, the EU (Germany, France, the UK), China, South Korea, and Taiwan.) Furthermore, starting in April 2023, we launched a new business for overseas parts procurement, beginning with Vietnam. Currently, a majority of our parts are also procured overseas, and we hope to leverage our achievements and network to assist companies struggling with cost reduction in parts procurement.
