The patented IOW Group centrifugal oil separator comes standard with a sludge monitoring system (separator control unit) and features a unique bowl disk technology that was previously used in conventional large centrifuges. Contaminant particles, especially those around 4μm in diameter, can have a serious impact on machinery. Primary filters can quickly become clogged and require replacement, or valves may become blocked. As a result, leaks can occur, and the efficiency of the hydraulic system can decrease. The contamination level is calculated based on the size and quantity of particles contained in the oil. Data is obtained from sample inspections that provide an overview of the particle size distribution, and an ISO code indicating the cleanliness of the oil is created. This on-site performance has demonstrated the exceptional capability of the IOW centrifugal oil separator in removing particles with diameters of 4 to 6 microns from hydraulic oil.
