At Tsuruta Electric, we manufacture DC/AC/three-phase/single-phase reactors (air core and iron core) tailored to various applications, ranging from large-capacity products for power systems to communication equipment components.
■ We can manufacture up to a maximum rated current of 3000A class. We propose optimal designs for the core (silicon steel sheets, super E, amorphous, fine met, powdered iron cores, ferrite) and coils tailored to the frequency range, including copper strips, litz wires, and single wires. (1) Considering the structure in terms of IP (protection class), we can also provide products that are resistant to harsh environments. (2) Compliance with international standards (IEC/EN/UL, etc.) is available. (3) We measure the DC superimposition characteristics. (4) We conduct evaluations of vibration tests. (5) Thin design is possible. ■ DC Superimposition Characteristics: When a DC bias current flows through an inductor, the permeability decreases as it approaches the saturation point of the magnetic material, resulting in a decrease in inductance value. This characteristic is referred to as DC superimposition characteristics. The issue with this DC superimposition current arises when the coil is designed to be compact while achieving a large inductance, particularly when using a core with a permeability greater than that of air. Since the permeability of materials like iron cores is significantly higher than that of air, it is possible to achieve a compact design with a large inductance.
